Trade Review
1/22/24 #NAS BUY Setup This was honestly a mistake that was made and played out on this account. In the process of moving over to the Futures market, I needed to see the contract sizes on the MNQ1! just to be sure that I understand the tick vs pip vs contract sizes.
Entry: 17460 SL: 17450 Target: 17470 Risk off 1:1: 17460 Close out: 17469.5
MNQ1! (NAS100)
1 tick is a move of +/-0.25 gain or loss on price
1 tick move is +/-0.50 gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
4 ticks is a 1 point move and +/-[amount redacted]gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
Lot Min is 1
MES1! (SPX500)
1 tick is a move of +/-0.25 gain or loss on price
1 tick move is +/-1.25 gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
4 ticks is a 1 point move and +/-[amount redacted]gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
Lot Min is 1
MYM1! (DOW30)
1 tick is a move of +/-0.25 gain or loss on price
1 tick move is +/-0.50 gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
1 tick is a 1 point move and +/-[amount redacted]gain or loss of unrealized or realized equity
Lot Min is 1
Because the account is only [amount redacted]there can only be 1 order in at a given time. I could not close the trade out because I left a sample pending order on MES1! (SPX500) sitting low on the charts and though it was pending, this order still counted against my available margin requirement of [amount redacted]in margin to close this trade and leave the MES trade open.
Resolution was to close out the pending trades that free the margin available and close the trade.
