Trade Review

5/8/24 $NQ1! On this day it started off with me being a bit impulsive however I was able to get myself under control. In this case on my first set up which I did follow my rules and I wasn't so much taking this trade out of impulse I did take it at a good spot that was based off of 15m-FVG. We had already sold off for the day, so I was thinking that we would get some follow through. The market pushed up off of the lows of the day. I did think to myself that we could be buying at this point, but we didn't make any returns to the +PDAs, so I stuck with my bias to the downside. I was pretty patient with waiting on it after I already tried to enter. I didn't close out their initial trade with the win but, did not take a big loss. I could've closed it out in profit after I saw you did not go to my first target and just scratched it but I held it a little too long and price took my stop loss, but the loss was not big.

The sale set up came near high of day and once I saw the rejection, I was patient with this particular entry. I took this set up off of the 5m chart and it pretty much sold off and hit all of my targets. My initial target one was now my target 2 and my target 1 was the low that we made near the DOP. I did let price come back too high with my partial taken but I closed in profit and that's the most important thing. I could have seen price run completely through my targets but I took partials after getting scared out of the trade. The next partials were pretty much taken near the 2nd partials.

Later in the day after noticing that there were new +PDAs created we saw price return to them. On the return near the closing hours, I took a buy with patience after the rejection candle and an up close candle confirmed. I took small partials and I closed out the treat.
