🌍 Premarket Narrative Review
Coming into today, the macro backdrop was still driven by unresolved US / Iran tensions, with oil holding above 102.00, keeping risk premium in the market.
Unlike the ceasefire trend days we’ve been seeing recently, today looked different.
This wasn’t a clean repricing environment.
This looked like:
Balanced delivery + compression + event risk
At 10:00am, we had major USD data:
- ▸JOLTS Job Openings
- ▸ISM Services PMI
- ▸New Home Sales
My premarket read was clear:
If there’s no clean displacement before 10:00, don’t force anything. Let the data create the move.
That ended up being exactly the correct read.
🟣 VIX Premarket Review
VIX opened directly into major higher-timeframe support:
Weekly Context:
PNWOG:
- ▸19.58 (H)
- ▸18.53 (M)
- ▸17.48 (L)
Yesterday VIX rejected the midpoint and created the weekly high.
Overnight, VIX gapped down and created a new day opening gap:
NDOG:
- ▸18.29 (H)
- ▸18.12 (M)
- ▸17.95 (L)
Below that sat:
- ▸WOP: 17.38
- ▸WL: 17.15
- ▸MOP: 17.01
My read:
VIX was sitting directly on weekly, monthly, and opening support.
Meaning:
This was not clean continuation lower.
This was:
Decision zone.
🔵 MES Premarket Review
MES was sitting in pure equilibrium.
Major HTF Arrays:
NWOG:
- ▸7282.75 (H)
- ▸7265.25 (M)
- ▸7247.75 (L)
D+FVG:
- ▸7255.75 (H)
- ▸7223.00 (M)
- ▸7191.00 (L)
Upside Liquidity:
- ▸7271 swing high
- ▸7275.25 WOP
- ▸7279.50 WH
Downside Liquidity:
- ▸7236
- ▸7228
- ▸7223.50
- ▸7204
- ▸7199
My read:
Inside day.
Heavy overlap.
Balanced delivery.
No edge yet.
🔗 Correlation Review
VIX:
Holding major support.
MES:
Holding equilibrium.
Translation:
Both markets were sitting at major decision points.
This was not a trend day.
This was:
Wait for expansion.
🎯 Live Trade Execution Review
Did I take a live trade?
No.
And that was the correct decision.
Between 7:00am–12:00pm, ES, MES, and NQ all remained largely barcoded with overlapping delivery.
Even after 10:00am news:
- ▸No clean sweep.
- ▸No clean displacement.
- ▸No clean reclaim.
- ▸No clean OB/FVG reaction.
My premarket rule said:
Do not trade inside 7236–7271.
That is exactly what price did most of the morning.
So I stayed flat.
📈 MYM Demo Trade Review
Even though ES and NQ never gave me what I wanted, I decided to monitor MYM.
I don’t normally trade it, so I used demo execution.
Market Context
MYM had been pushing higher throughout:
- ▸Overnight
- ▸Premarket
- ▸Early RTH
Key Levels:
- ▸Low of day: 49060
- ▸Daily Open: 49095
Price had already:
✅ Swept liquidity ✅ Reclaimed structure ✅ Moved back into HTF FVG + OB
This was the exact model I was waiting for on ES.
Entry Setup #1
Pending Orders:
Entry 1:
49162
Entry 2:
49121
Stop Loss:
49103
Targets:
Target 1:
49340
Target 2:
49420
Trade Development
At the 9:30 open, price pushed down into my entries.
The first entry triggered:
49162
The second entry at 49121 should have filled, but did not.
Most likely:
Spread issue.
Trade Management
Price immediately respected:
✅ Liquidity sweep ✅ Fair Value Gap ✅ Order Block ✅ Structure reclaim
Price began pushing toward target.
As price approached highs, I began trailing.
Eventually:
Trailing stop hit:
49270
Re-entry
After the pullback, I re-entered:
49243
That second trade continued and ultimately reached target.
MYM Trade Result
Had this been taken live:
This would have been an A+ trade.
The exact model played out:
Liquidity sweep → FVG → OB → reclaim → expansion
Exactly what I was waiting for all day.

🏆 Final Trade Grade
A-
Biggest Lessons
1. My edge did not disappear today.
It simply rotated.
ES and NQ chopped.
MYM delivered.
2. My discipline saved me.
No live trade was better than forcing chop.
3. I need to seriously study YM / MYM.
Today proved:
My model is not ES-dependent.
If I can build confidence in MYM the same way I’ve built confidence in ES/NQ, this may become another weapon.
Final Journal Entry (Your Voice)
Today wasn’t about making money.
Today was about proving discipline.
My premarket plan said this was likely a compression day until news created real displacement, and that’s exactly what happened.
ES and NQ never gave me clean delivery inside my trading window, so I stayed flat.
Later in the session, MYM gave me the exact model I was looking for—liquidity sweep, fair value gap, order block, reclaim, and expansion.
I only took it in demo because I don’t normally trade YM, but the setup played out exactly as expected.
The biggest takeaway from today is simple:
The edge didn’t disappear… it rotated.
Stay disciplined. Stay patient.
