Trade Review

2/24/25 $MES The setup today was really triggered based on the Midnight Opening Candle range. There is an IFVG in the middle of the candle and then there is a breach and -CHOCH. There wasn’t clear direction at the time so I decided to wait for the market to open and then price tanked. We got a new 1m-FVG after we got the direction but we didn’t return into the 1m-FVG so I sat on my hands to look for another setup.

The next setup came from a 5m-FVG that was actually traded through and then later inverted. I knew that this was near the low and there was a possibility that we could retrace. I took the trade and I wanted to have price continue to take out the low. The low failed and then stalled out to reverse to the upside so I took out my daily goal and called it a day. Though the move did retrace, we later sold off even lower.

PDAs: NWOG,MOC,15m+FVG, 5m-Breach, 5m-CHOCH, 15m=IFVG, 1m-FVG, SSL

Entry: 6007.25,6009.25 SL: 6012.75 Target: 6004 Adjusted SL: 6011 Risk off 1:1: No

Good: The setup recognition has been great as of late. I am definitely improving in this area. I am also doing well in recognizing when my setups are invalidated.

Bad: I am missing the setups due to hesitation I have tied to either waiting for the news to release or waiting for the 9:30am opening. There have been times that I’ve wanted to break the rule and I want to determine what or if there are times that I should or shouldn’t be as rigged.
