Trade Review
3/4/25 $MES Honestly this took me a minute to actually document this trading day because of the way that I traded so poorly. Went on full tilt mode without any reasoning or logic at all. I didn't follow any rules of my trading plan and I was super aggressive with no logic behind any of this. My sole premise for taking a trade was that Trump was speaking and I was expecting the markets to sell off once he began to speak, that's it, no other technical based logic or even price action logic behind the thoughts on the setup. I took the idea and ran with it and that was my only reasoning for my trades. Going further into the weeds of it all, the first mistake was that I took these trades at/around 8:30-9pm at night. My thought was that I knew I wouldn't really have a chance to trade because of going into the office and I wanted to get this challenged knocked out or put significant dents in the balance this week. (This is crazy to even be writing this because I thought that I was pass these demons) The entries themselves were all based no LTF considerations over the charts during the slotted time of the speech and they were clearly not based on anything of HTF importance. Notice in the initial entry it was near the DL at the time and the SL used was the DH at the time. The other entries were sporadic and each either came within or near the NDOG and a LTF IFVG, though this was considered before the trade at all. Price did eventually sell off the nice day but only after taking out the DH to create a new STH, my max SL at the time and making a new STL. That entry and setup wasn't given until around 4-5:45am, a time I would have not likely been able to trade it.
