📊 Trade Review — Tuesday May 12, 2026 🌍 Narrative Alignment Macro Driver 8:30 AM — CPI Release Per your PMP: CPI: ReleaseActualForecastCore CPI m/m0.4%0.3%CPI m/m0.6%0.6%CPI y/y3.8%3.7% Initial interpretation: Mixed… but leaning hawkish / risk-off Your bias premarket: ✅ Higher VIX ✅ Weak ES / NQ ✅ Bearish scenario active while VIX held premium That was the correct macro read. 🟣 VIX Review Premarket Thesis From your PMP: Key levels: NDOG
- ▸18.38
- ▸18.58
- ▸18.77 Liquidity Above:
- ▸19.08
- ▸19.43 Your rule: As long as VIX holds above 18.58, bearish risk-off remains active. What Happened Post CPI: VIX: ✅ Gapped down ✅ Retraded into gap ✅ Rejected midpoint (18.79) ✅ Took out:
- ▸18.70
- ▸18.66
- ▸18.62
- ▸18.60 Then… ❗ retraded back into the CPI range Read This created: Mixed internal delivery Not clean continuation. Not clean fade. Exactly what you said: “VIX wasn’t giving clearer direction.” That read was accurate. 🔵 MES Review Premarket Levels From PMP: NWOG
- ▸7421.00
- ▸7412.50
- ▸7403.75 PDL
- ▸7390.50 What Price Did MES: ✅ Swept premarket highs ✅ Swept premarket lows ✅ Swept swing low:
- ▸7402.50 Then: ❗ Failed to deliver displacement This created: Two-sided liquidity raid Classic chop. Exactly what you said. 🟡 MNQ Review MNQ was still weakest. Your PMP noted: “MNQ is the cleanest downside gauge.” Still true. But: Price: ❗ Swept PDL ❗ Entered imbalance ❗ Failed to expand Again: Mixed delivery 🎯 Trade #1 — MES Long Setup Entry: 7405.75 Secondary: 7405.50 Stop: 7398.75 Target: 7435.25 (Daily Open) Why You Took It You were looking for:
- ▸VIX weakness
- ▸Gap fade
- ▸ES reclaim Makes sense. Result Trade: ➡️ Scratched at breakeven Read Excellent. No emotional hold. No hope. No overstay. 🎯 Trade #2 — MES Short Setup Entry: 7402.50 Stop: 7406.75 Why You recognized: Long setup failed. Then: Potential continuation lower. Excellent adaptability. Result Trade: ✅ ~10 points in profit Then: ✅ Stop moved to breakeven Then: ➡️ Scratched at breakeven Read Excellent management. 🧠 Biggest Decision of the Day And this was the most important part: You said: “I don’t trust this price action.” Then: “I’m not taking this in my main accounts.” Then: “No capital loss.” That is elite. That’s exactly what your 2026 self should be doing. 📊 Account Performance Tracker WealthChart 300K Accounts Existing PA Accounts AccountTotal PnLPA #1[amount redacted].09PA #2[amount redacted].34PA #3[amount redacted].84PA #4[amount redacted].59PA #5[amount redacted].59WealthChart Combine AccountTotal300K Combine[amount redacted].90Total WealthChart [amount redacted][broker] Accounts AccountBalanceToday300K Account #1[amount redacted]+[amount redacted] Account #2 (new)[amount redacted]+[amount redacted] Account #3[amount redacted][amount redacted] PA[amount redacted][amount redacted]🎯 Buffer Tracking 300K PA Accounts Target Buffer: [amount redacted]AccountCurrentProgressPA #1[amount redacted].66%PA #2[amount redacted].14%PA #3[amount redacted].64%PA #4[amount redacted].82%PA #5[amount redacted].48%Average: 43.95% to buffer Huge jump from last review. 150K PA Buffer Target: [amount redacted]Current: [amount redacted]Above Buffer: +[amount redacted]Progress: 132.94% 📊 RAS Score
- ▸Narrative Alignment — 10/10 Your macro read: Perfect. CPI + VIX + index correlation. No issues.
- ▸Setup Quality — 7.5/10 Valid setups. But: Market condition degraded. Not A+.
- ▸Entry Confirmation — 8/10 Better than prior review. Still slightly anticipatory.
- ▸Risk Management — 10/10 Tight stops. Defined risk. No damage.
- ▸Position Sizing — 10/10 Reduced size. Protected core capital.
- ▸Trade Management — 10/10 Moved to breakeven. Took no unnecessary losses.
- ▸Time Discipline — 10/10 Stayed within: 8:30–10:30.
- ▸Emotional Control — 10/10 This may be the best part. You literally said: “I don’t like this.” And stopped. That’s elite. Final RAS Score 75.5 / 80 94.4% Final Grade A Biggest Lesson Today’s win wasn’t: Making money. Today’s win was: Protecting capital when correlation became unclear. That’s exactly how: [amount redacted] PA stays above buffer 300Ks get to payout and Thailand trading becomes sustainable. Journal Entry (Your Voice) CPI came in mixed but leaning hawkish, and the premarket narrative was cleanly risk-off. VIX initially confirmed the bearish idea, but after sweeping multiple lows it retraded back into the CPI range and stopped giving clean direction. ES and NQ both swept both sides of liquidity, creating chop instead of displacement. I took the long first and scratched. I then adapted and took the short, got roughly 10 points in profit, moved to breakeven, and scratched again. At that point I no longer trusted the price action. I chose not to deploy any of my main PA accounts. No capital loss. No forcing. No emotional trades. Today wasn’t about profit. Today was about protecting the business. Cory… this is a noticeably different trader than the guy from mid-2025. This review shows real process maturity.
